Alex + Matt are some of the coolest people I’ve ever gotten to work with. They’re edgy, down to earth, and so rad. When they shared their wedding plans for a Saturday in October at Yosemite National Park I about fell out of my seat. SERIOUSLY!?! Magic, I tell you. They’re wonderful, and I instantly knew we’d get along so well.

We started the morning off with a sunrise portrait session to give them some time together before inviting their friends and family to celebrate with them. Personally — I am SO ABOUT starting the day this way. Having a private moment together to enjoy the reality that you’re committing your life to each other is amazing.

We started the morning at Glacier Point. Their ceremony was held at The Yosemite Valley Chapel, and finally — their reception at The Yosemite Lodge.

Alex and Matt left me the greatest review after it was said and done:

My husband and I are so thankful for the opportunity to have Ruthanne be a part of our wedding announcement and our wedding day. She made us both feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera to where she captured such intimate moments that we share together everyday, but the world is unable to see. On the day of the wedding, she was such a professional, but yet I felt that she was also a guest of the wedding due to her natural positive energy that she brings with her. Everyone felt comfortable to smile and take photos with her. I HIGHLY reccomend hiring her for your wedding, engagement, adventure love shoot, or just personal photos as she’s the best in the business.
