Happy New Year! I hope you’ve all been adventuring, getting engaged and living life to it’s fullest. I’m stoked on all that is coming this year - and all of the adventurous couples that have been trickling into my inbox. It’s gonna be good, y’all.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about 2019, what I want for my business and myself - and honestly, how to manifest those things.

I’m not really big on “resolutions”, though in the spirit of honesty, I do make them. Rather, lately I’m starting to focus more of my energy in life on specific aspects that I want to improve, not just things to “fix” where I’m at temporarily or put a cover over things I don’t like about my life.

2018 was a whirlwind. It was everything I didn’t expect, and maybe I should have asked for more in my expectations - but to be honest, it was everything I needed, in every way. I got to meet so many incredible people, photograph the most amazing love stories and adventure the globe doing what I love. It was insane, and worth every exhausting second.

I’ve thought a lot about the word I wanted to choose to represent me and my business this year, which I hope to trickle down to my couples. We’re 10 days into the new year, and I finally know what it is.

I want to empower myself to do big things, seek big things, and challenge the status quo. I want to feel empowered in my business to advocate for couples who don’t feel connected to the norms that are pushed on them. And in that, I want my couples to feel empowered to choose what will set their souls on fire. And most of that time, that means an adventure elopement with me. Heck to the freakin’ yeah.

So, while this may be a brief post, I just wanted to say happy new year - and welcome to 2019 - the year of empowerment. I can’t wait to lift up and support all of my couples in the adventures they choose - it’s gonna be one hell of a ride.
