2019 is in it’s final moments – and I’m gearing up for another crazy year! I wanted to take time to reflect on all of the incredible people I met & images we created together!
I started out here at home in Tahoe on New Year’s day 2019 with Melissa & Aaron. Samantha & John weren’t too far behind with an intimate ceremony of just the two of them in South Lake Tahoe. Tristan & Andrew celebrated their engagement at Donner Lake, as well as Jess & Jim in the woods!
Laura & Dustin endured a pretty snowy afternoon for their elopement (it was amazing!) and Nikki & Kevin followed me up a mountain to make some magic overlooking the North Shore.
Natalia & Spencer celebrated their engagement in her hometown right here in Truckee! M & Rob skied Homewood for an adventure session. Shortly after I jaunted up to Seattle to document Kelly & Jameson, and jumped right back on a plane that night to make it home for Sarah & Robert’s elopement on the West Shore.
I got to document Hannah & Steven’s anniversary in the rain, and Jaime & Davis hosted one hell of a party on Donner Lake to celebrate their new life together. Alex proposed to Bridget in South Lake Tahoe, and Sam + Mariana celebrated TEN YEARS! married!
Ashley & Nick hosted the most incredible intimate wedding at a private family estate on the West Shore (we even got to go on a boat!) and Amy & Hunter flew to Tahoe from Florida for a private elopement. Sara & Ryan spent the sunrise saying “I do” followed by a magical time in the woods. Gabby & Ben hosted the most classic party – full of fun & dancing.
Rachel & Ed experienced big blue in all her glory for a sunrise elopement, and Kaitlin & Max hiked miles to get the best view for their elopement with just their son as a witness.
Bridget & Dean flew to California for a coastal elopement, and Jenn & Ross brought their families to Tahoe to celebrate their intimate wedding.
Demetri & I flew to Switzerland for Khasarah & George’s adventurous Swiss elopement. Before we left, I got to be part of a wedding day that hit close to home – Colleen & Jon got married on the same mountain that I did!
Molly & Chris said I-do in an incredibly private and sweet ceremony in the Napa Valley. Sibylle & Patrik got married in a 500 year old church not far from where Sibylle grew up in Switzerland.
Sydney & Mike celebrated their wedding day with family in South Lake Tahoe. Dominie & Handel trusted me to trek them into the backcountry for an epic engagement session beneath one of the Sierra’s finest mountains.
Kayla (a childhood friend!) & Josh got engaged, and Jen & Mike hosted an intimate wedding in the Redwoods of the bay area with family and friends. Alex & Ian bucked tradition with a red dress & ball cap, and said their vows overlooking Donner Lake. Nate & Vanessa planned a somewhat last minute elopement with family, which resulted in an epic set of images.
Ashley & Colton let me create some images of them for my brand video, and I even got to photograph MY wedding photographer while she was in town! Kirsten & Ryan (and their pups, of course!) Madasyn & Kyle ditched their planned wedding for an intimate elopement outside of Zion National Park – and my dear friend Allison met me there the next day for anniversary photos/engagement photos.
And lastly, Handel & Dominie eloped in Tahoe 2 days before Christmas with family & friends. It was a dream.
2019 was the most amazing year full of incredible people. I can’t wait for what’s next! CHEERS!
